Paris Summer Program 2013

As participants in the Department’s Paris Summer Program, fourteen Emory undergraduates, representing a wide variety of academic majors in additon to French, studied in Paris from June 2nd to July 5th. Along with course work, highlights in Paris included three classic French plays at the Comédie-Française: Phèdre, Amphitryon, and Cabaret Boris Vian. French 201 & 205 students had an evening at the ballet La Sylphide at l’ Opéra Garnier. The group enjoyed excursions to the Loire Valley, Versailles, and Reims. Program director Lilia Coropceanu was joined by faculty member Catherine Dana, and graduate student Margaret Keneman, program assistant, who took this photo of the group's last dinner in Paris.
