Biography

 

Arnaud Tcheutou is a Visiting Assistant Professor of French. He completed his Ph.D in French at Louisiana State University. He also completed a Graduate Minor in the program of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the same university. Arnaud Tcheutou is specialized in Francophone African Literature. His research interests include traditional African theater, African oral literature, colonialism, postcolonialism, and feminist theories.

Arnaud Tcheutou is currently working on a book aiming to demonstrate the influence of Helene Cixous’ feminist theory in the writing of Francophone African feminist writers. He has already published a book chapter entitled « Dialogue entre les attributs de la mémoire et l’orphisme dans les œuvres littéraires de Werewere-Liking » in the book Le devoir de mémoire dans la littérature camerounaise. Linéaments pour une textualisation des politiques du pardon (Paris : L’Harmattan, 2020). He has also published two articles in the Journal of the African Literature Association (JALA). The first one is « L’hymne national du Cameroun : Un chant patriotique sans ancrage géo-identitaire » (JALA 13.1, 2019). The second article is « Les médias sociaux comme champ de bataille et le problème anglophone au Cameroun » (JALA 14.2, 2020). In addition, he has published a book review entitled « Rev. of Le Code de l'indigénat ou le fondement des États autocratiques en Afrique francophone, by Gilbert Doho (Nouvelles Études Francophones 33.2, 2018).
