Natalia Garzon

2020 Bray Prize Recipient

My trip to Paris for the Summer Abroad Program after I had finished my freshman year changed the course of my academic career. After experiencing French culture alongside amazing mentors like Dr. Dana and Dr. Coropceanu I decided to declare my French major. The department opened its doors and has provided me with constant support and inspiration these past years. After completing an Honors Thesis for the department, I leave Emory knowing that the French department’s continuous support and inspiration is the greatest gift I have been given these past four years.

Dear Natalia,

I'm so happy to have been able to be a part of your creative and unique honors project. You were able to bring together your many strengths and talents into a product that showcased your learning from your creative writing and French disciplines in such an impressive way! I can't wait to see where your next adventures will lead! We are so proud of all your accomplishments!

 Avec toutes mes amitiés,

Dr. Mendes
