Biography
Jessica Li Zhi Biao is a first-year PhD student in French and Italian at Emory University. Her research engages with francophone literature from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean, exploring migration, memory, ecology, and postcolonial identities. She is the recipient of the Laney Graduate School Fellowship.
She plans to pursue certificates in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and in Comparative Literature.
