Biography

Eric Bulakites, Lecturer in French (PhD in French, The Johns Hopkins University, 2020), Intermediate French and Writing Skills.

Prior to joining the faculty at Emory in 2022, Eric held positions at the Pingry School where he taught 7th-12th grade and The John Hopkins University where he taught in the French Department and the Program in Film and Media Studies. His research focuses on twentieth and twenty-first century French and Francophone film and literature through the lens diversity and multiculturalism. He is currently working on a book chapter called “ Women Educators in Banlieue Cinema: A Labor of Love?” that looks at the intersection of gender, race, and class in the context of French public education.
