Louisa "Luna" LarocquePhD StudentFrench

Biography

Louisa “Luna” Larocque is 1st year PhD student in the Department of French and Italian at Emory University. She holds a BA in English Literature and Culture from the Université de Caen Normandie, a Master's in Linguistics from Indiana State University and a Master's in French and Francophone studies from Georgia State University. She obtained a certificate to teach English as a Second and Foreign Language from Indiana State University. Her research interests include women’s gender and sexuality studies, post-colonial studies and sociolinguistics. She would like to explore the writings of women and queer people in the Francophone literary canon across different time periods and Francophone regions. She is the recipient of the Laney Graduate School Fellowship.
